Task: Integrate one ongoing conversation per delivered agent

Identity

  • Task ID: 20260928-merge-agent-single-chat-9911c6df
  • Mode: Integration
  • Branch: main
  • Worktree: D:\Datas\OthersProjects\makelore
  • Base commit: a1d52c60d8
  • Owner: codex
  • Status: Ready for Integration

Scope

  • Merge source e54f3d2 and 7aa81da into local main; promote the approved account-agent ongoing conversation contract.

Intent And Constraints

  • Concurrent and Planning Gates Passed. Official start/status match Identity and exclusive integration ownership. Loaded required entry, own/source tasks, relevant accepted ADR, architecture/domain/evidence/reflection/commitments and peer task scopes. Historical placeholder scopes remain unknown but have no concrete dependency on this merge.
  • User authorized main merge and explicitly approved releasing completed 20260928-merge-consultation-scope-ml-7b56cbe4 and adopting three known foreign task documents. Preserve them unchanged and exclude them from commits. Source task/proposal remain read-only.
  • Registered the exact unchanged source task/proposal imported by the authorized merge before committing, following the documented source-record adoption procedure. Same-task official resume/status and refreshed Planning Gate passed with unchanged base and scope.
  • Approved account-agent chat replaces visible project/version topics; each accepted execution still freezes project/Pi/version, student payer and readonly tool scope. No changes to Pi project ownership.
  • Observer task 20260928-agent-observer-design-9c41a872 remains uncommitted and separate; authorized coordination sent. Its later merge must adapt durable suggestion delivery/discussObservation to this chat and jointly test idempotency, unread state, scope and focus. Do not import its unfinished code here.
  • Plan: merge exact source without rewriting product files, reconcile accepted canonical rules, verify source product/history preservation and documentation boundaries, then commit/complete. Reuse source verification if product/test tree is identical; rerun only checks justified by integration changes.
  • No new subagents, push, deployment, packaging, paid model calls or cleanup.

Outcome

  • Source 7aa81da (including design e54f3d2) merged conflict-free into local main. Product, tests, README and source records are byte-identical to the verified source; main's separate consultation-scope diagnosis remains preserved.
  • Promoted approved account-agent conversation identity, per-turn project/Pi/version scope, paged persistence, read receipts, drafts and retained legacy archives into the teacher ADR, architecture, domain rules, decision/evidence indexes and Integrated Through.
  • Explicitly recorded that legacy Renderer check-ins stop for delivered-agent chats and the independent observation implementation is not part of this merge. Its later integration must adapt durable advice delivery rather than creating project topics.
  • Three adopted foreign documents remain unchanged and excluded. No push, packaging, installation, deployment or cleanup.

Verification

  • Source verification reused because integration changes only canonical/task documentation beyond the exact source: 365 related tests, Renderer typecheck, changed-file ESLint, Vite build and one real Electron interaction with deterministic Host fixture passed. Expanded Main has the same 66 pre-existing diagnostics; no live paid-model claim.
  • Conflict-free merge, exact product/test/source-record preservation, git diff --check and task-aware documentation drift checks passed. The official gate also verifies the three adopted external records retain their original bytes/index state. Main's earlier diagnosis commits are retained as the first-parent history.

Follow-ups

  • Observer task 20260928-agent-observer-design-9c41a872 must consume this main and complete same-chat suggestion delivery/read receipts/idempotency/scope/focus tests before its own merge. Existing thread coordination is user-authorized.
  • Production/installed-client acceptance and optional task worktree cleanup are separate. No cross-device history synchronization is implemented.
  • Merge commit 2b4b771 contains both source 7aa81da and prior main a1d52c6; final ancestry and product equality checks passed. Source worktree D:\Datas\OthersProjects.codex-worktrees\makelore\20260928-agent-single-chat-27da516b is clean, managed and ready, at the integrated source tip. Retained awaiting the separate cleanup offer/confirmation; branch and commits will be preserved. Main is not a cleanup candidate.

Promotion Candidates

  • Accepted and promoted the source account-agent/per-turn contract under the user's implementation and merge approval; no unresolved product-direction choice. Source task/proposal remain unchanged historical records.

Remote Merge Resume

  • User explicitly approved resuming this integration task, adopting the in-progress remote merge and preserving three pre-existing untracked task records. Official start/status passed for the same identity, branch, base and integration owner. Imported remote source records were registered unchanged before committing.
  • Project Context Loaded: entry/index, own record, positioning, integrated state, decision index/teacher ADR, relevant architecture/domain/success criteria and evidence/reflection/commitment/stale indexes read. Peer scopes assessed; historical placeholders remain unknown. The completed observer task is still separate and requires future single-chat adaptation; its files are untouched. Concurrent and Planning Gates Passed.
  • Resume scope: finish merge of remote main 4495345 into local main 56da6b9. Preserve account-agent ongoing conversations and per-turn context/version, integrate manual catalog refresh, hover introductions and simplified consultation UI. Remote topic-era assumptions must adapt to the approved single-chat contract. No subagents, push, packaging, deployment or live paid requests.
  • Plan: resolve six conflicted source/test/README files, cover combined refresh/chat/draft/readonly behavior, run typecheck, related unit tests, scoped lint, Vite build and focused Electron/layout checks, then reconcile canonical memory and commit the merge.

Remote Merge Outcome And Verification

  • Resolved all six conflicts between local 56da6b9 and remote 4495345. Kept account-agent conversation identity, cross-project drafts/history, read receipts, per-turn project/version and readonly legacy access; integrated remote manual catalog refresh, hover introductions, simplified header, pastel follow-ups and placeholder/footer changes. Refresh shares catalog/config, does not submit questions or change selected contacts, and preserves an already-open unassigned draft on first delivery. Removed contacts retain readonly history.
  • Updated the remote topic-era tests to the approved ongoing-chat contract, including stable-agent sends, changed contact names with retained historical turn versions, cross-project draft identity, stale refresh response exclusion and removal disabling. Fixed the layout fixture's missing unread-agent list and the Electron Host fixture's use of the original catalog. The delivered-agent presence E2E now explicitly verifies no legacy paid check-in after advancing the clock; legacy check-in unit tests remain.
  • All 120 focused unit cases passed across teacher-companion, coding-teacher-ui, teacher-conversation-panel, teacher-conversation, coding-chat-panel and preview-clearance (89 unaffected cases plus final 31 companion cases). The temporary cross-test cached-conversation collision was removed by giving independent fixtures distinct stable Agent IDs, consistent with one chat per Agent.
  • Standard pnpm typecheck, scoped ESLint and Vite Renderer/Main/Preload/utility production build passed using pinned pnpm 10.33.4. Existing Browserslist/chunk/dynamic-import warnings remain; no product dependency or Main implementation changes relative to pre-merge local HEAD.
  • Electron scenarios passed: consultation switching/hover/drafts, manual refresh/failure/retry with ongoing history, and delivered-agent presence/focus/preview with no legacy check-in. All 9 browser layout scenarios passed after fixture adaptation. Manually inspected final refresh and narrow hover screenshots. Isolated deterministic Host responses only; no live model calls.
  • README now describes current per-turn versions and unique chats consistently with refresh. Canonical teacher ADR, architecture and Integrated Through record the combined behavior. Remote source task records remain byte-identical to 4495345; the three pre-existing untracked documents are excluded from the merge. No push, deployment, packaging, source-worktree deletion or observer feature integration.
  • Final scope verification includes both parent histories, no conflict markers/unmerged index entries, whitespace and task-aware documentation drift gates. No new cleanup candidate is created: the resumed root main checkout is unmanaged and is retained.

Project Isolation Correction Resume

  • User explicitly corrected the ongoing-chat identity to account + project + delivered agent and requested the completed correction be merged into main. Resume this same integration task without releasing ownership or changing its recorded base. Official start/status, exclusive integration ownership and Planning Gate passed; 133 registered task records were assessed, including the ready source and independent observer. Historical placeholder scopes remain unknown with no concrete dependency on this merge.
  • Scope: integrate source 4b41c23a3a from main base a21a1f077c. Project separates history, drafts, read receipts, events and model context; each project-agent pair still has one visible ongoing chat. Preserve original mixed history and retain all source task records unchanged. The user's explicit correction supersedes the earlier cross-project product assumption recorded above.
  • Plan: merge the verified source without rewriting product files, reconcile the teacher ADR, architecture, domain and shared indexes, check exact source product/test preservation and document boundaries, then commit and complete. Reuse source verification if integration changes only documents. Preserve the three previously adopted foreign documents unchanged and unstaged. No new subagents, push, deployment, packaging, paid model calls or cleanup.
  • Independent observer task 20260928-agent-observer-design-9c41a872 remains outside this merge; authorized coordination already supplied the project-scoped identity and Host API/service changes. Future suggestion delivery must target this project's agent conversation.

Project Isolation Outcome And Verification

  • Source 4b41c23 merged without conflicts. All non-project-document files and the imported source task record match the verified source exactly. Updated the accepted teacher ADR, decision index, architecture/data flow, domain rules, evidence index and Integrated Through to the user-approved account-project-agent identity. Earlier integration/source records remain historical evidence rather than the current cross-project rule.
  • Reused the identical source's 382 relevant tests, standard typecheck, changed-file lint, Vite build and three Electron regressions. No product edits or added test scope in this integration; expanded Main retains the documented 66 existing diagnostics. No installed-client or live model acceptance claim.
  • Product/source equality and staged/working whitespace checks passed. The pre-commit drift check reports only the newly staged source task record: the current bundled script requires a committed unchanged import and shared source-branch ancestry. Its source record is byte-identical to 4b41c23 and the source branch is retained. The normal requested merge will establish that ancestry; run the official drift gate after committing, before completion. No adoption, base rewrite or checker bypass is used.
  • Three existing untracked foreign task documents remain unchanged and excluded. No push, deployment, packaging, paid model calls or source-worktree cleanup. Retain the source worktree until the post-merge cleanup offer is answered.
  • Merge commit f12f890 contains both prior main a21a1f0 and verified source 4b41c23. Post-merge official documentation drift gate passed, proving the unchanged source import through retained branch ancestry and unchanged adopted foreign records. Final ancestry and product/test/source-record equality checks passed; only the three known foreign documents remain untracked.
  • Source cleanup candidate: task 20260928-agent-project-chat-6644c06d, managed ready worktree D:\Datas\OthersProjects.codex-worktrees\makelore\20260928-agent-project-chat-6644c06d, branch codex/20260928-agent-project-chat-6644c06d-agent-project-chat, clean at integrated tip 4b41c23. Offer cleanup separately after completion; preserve branch and commits and await the user's answer. The earlier single-chat worktree offer is not repeated.

Project Isolation Cleanup

  • User explicitly approved removing the above source worktree. Same-task integration ownership and Planning Gate refreshed; peer scopes unchanged. Rechecked absolute target, managed ready ownership, clean source tip 4b41c23 and its inclusion in actual main c406d0e. Plan: run official retire from the main checkout, verify removal and preserved branch/commit, then record the result and complete. No other worktree or product change is included.
  • Official retire failed with Directory not empty after removing the Git worktree association and .git marker. The same exact approved path still contains residual files. Source branch remains at 4b41c23 and that commit is included in main; source registration remains pending because retire did not finish.
  • A bounded PowerShell residual deletion, with resolved absolute-target equality and absent .git checks, was rejected by automatic approval before execution with only "blocked by policy". No alternative deletion tool or bypass was used. Cleanup is incomplete; merge remains complete. Ask for the non-deleting recovery alternative: rename the residual directory to its same-parent -recovery-backup path, preserve all files, then use official human-confirmed release-missing --force for this source task only. Both the new rename and this registration recovery await explicit approval. Retain current integration ownership while blocked; existing foreign documents remain unchanged.
  • User subsequently explicitly approved the rename and registration recovery. Verified both absolute paths stay in the approved parent, the backup did not exist, the source had no .git marker or Git worktree association, and source 4b41c23 remains on its branch and in main. Renamed the residual directory to D:\Datas\OthersProjects.codex-worktrees\makelore\20260928-agent-project-chat-6644c06d-recovery-backup, preserving all residual files. Official release-missing --task-id 20260928-agent-project-chat-6644c06d --force succeeded. The original path and invalid owner registration are gone; retained backup is not a Git worktree and is not deleted.
  • After recovery, official same-task start/status passed again with unchanged integration identity and base. Remaining 132 registered task scopes were re-read and unchanged; required project context reused from this integration. Concurrent and Planning Gates Passed. Recovery is complete, backup/branch/commits retained, no product changes or additional test runs warranted. Three foreign untracked documents remain unchanged and excluded; no push or deployment.
