+## Scope
+
+- Fetch `origin`, verify that the local `main` history can be published by an
+  ordinary fast-forward update, and push the complete verified local mainline.
+- Record the exact local and remote tips without changing product code.

+- Do not force-push, rewrite history, publish tags or other branches, deploy,
+  package, or change external services beyond the Git ref update requested by
